We all speak Castillian Spanish (Castellano), which is the most widely spoken Spanish in Spain and the one that was brought to Latin America by the conquistadors 5 centuries ago. Unlike American and British English, Castillian Spanish (simply known by most of the people as Spanish) keeps the same grammatical and orthographic structure in each country that speaks it. This occurs because Castillian Spanish is regulated by the Real Academia de la Lengua Española (Royal Academy of Spanish Language) in order to protect the integrity of the language.
However, you'll always find own words that belong to a region because of the past dialects that were or are still spoken by the natives. This doesn't mean that the language is different. Just think about how different the way of speaking of somebody who lives in North Carolina could be to someone who lives in Seattle. They'd still speak the same language.
By the way, when Hispanics from different countries use different words to refer to the same thing, those words are usually synonims and people will still understand them.

Just Spanish. Although sometimes they have different ways of naming certain items for example, a cuban and a puerto riccan would call a boat a "bote" where as a Spaniard or a Mexican would call it a "barca"or "barco"

There is only one spanish. There are, obviously, some local words that will be understood correctly in context only by people of a certain country or region.
