So, I left the house this morning to run to costco and target for baby food. I was on an empty stomach and was going to pick up thai food for hubby and I. Being that I am 4 months prego... you tend to turn into a different creature when you mix pregnancy and hunger. So I am about 25 minutes from home and I call my hubby to get everything set up for our lunch.... I tell him I'm staaaarving! When I get home, my drink was set out and that's it. (Football today...) So, naturally I'm irritable because baby is crying, I'm hungry babies hungry, and hubby is irritated that I'm irritated, he says he's been getting everything ready the whole time. So after I eat I ask him if he was watching football or getting ready and he still claims getting everything ready and gets super mad at me and says "What just because you want to stuff a cheeseburger down your face, you have to get all bitchy." Just curious what all you pregnant women would say, or if you've ever been preggers!

Pregnant or not I would be angry that he spoke so rudely. He needs to learn not to call you names and to treat you with respect.

Sounds to me like he has a lot of maturing he needs to do so that he can treat you with respect and take care of his responsibilties.

You said woman turn into different creatures when we are pregnant, well I think men do too! Some times in a good way but most often in a bad way. My boyfriend has turned into a lazy bum and all I can say that he does is goes to work. I'd be very upset if he said that to me as well. I'm supposed to be on bedrest and my boyfriend does nothing to help me really. Unless, of course, I ask and beg. Then he FINALLY does it in his OWN time. He's too busy most of the time playing video games to care about my needs or comfort. I hope he's a better father than he is companion.

I've been pregnant and was never overly emotional, and my husband will confirm that. He has heard the horror stories of other women, and was grateful that I wasnt one. He bent over backwards to help me and took good care of me when I was sick, weak, and miserable. I DO know what its like to be cranky, cuz, yes I PMS, and feel like ripping someones head off now and then for no good reason, but seriously, if you are having takeout, what more could he possibly do to get things ready? hell, some girls would be grateful to even have the father of their child present! his last comment was rude, and I'm not saying it was ok for him to say, but think about it... you are all wound up and stressed out, and youre taking it out on him, so he got all wound up and retaliated. sounds like you both need to learn to pick your battles. if one spouse is wrong, its no excuse to keep an argument going. sometimes its best to just understand that we all have a hard time now and then, and keep your mouth shut, and hope they are gracious enough to do the same for you when you get out of line.

i'm 16 weeks pregnant... and i feel your pain :)
i'd be mad about the rude comment about the burger!!!!!!!!!!
NEXT TIME stop and get a burger and when he's hungry fix his meal BETWEEN MAGAZINE articles (evil grin). OR BETTER YET, ask him to fix himself a peanut butter sandwich or something! men can be so lazy sometimes... especially if there is something they would RATHER be doing (like football).

why are you getting mad at him? just because you're pregnant doesn't mean he has to be your maid. damn, I'm alone right now and pregnant, my husband won't be back for a year. feel lucky you have him to do the little things he does. i would give anything to have my husband here to set me out a drink and watch football.

I think Preggo needs to calm down. His last comment was inappropriate, however he did get your drink set up for you. I don't really understand, you're upset because he didn't eat with you?

Pick your battles, is this really something you want to fight over?
