Deborah, from Judges.

she was strong, smart, led a country (which shows God doens't mind women being in charge) still submitted to authority and was well respected.

I have this vision of her being a redhead.

Dear 2ndchapteracts,

Esther is because she is a picture of a true believer. God's name is not mentioned once in this book yet you see the Lord in His sovereign rulership over all things. I believe that Hamaan, his sons, and servants are a picture of satan and all his workers.
Do you realize that we are so close to the end? The church age ended in 1988 and satan is now ruling in ALL the congregations (2 Thessalonians 2). There is absolutely NO POSSIBILITY of salvation in any local congregation today because the Lord is not present. That is why God has commanded the true believers to leave the chuches which ahve become Babylon (Revelation 18:4-; Matthew 24:15, 16). "For many are called, but few are chosen."

Esther. She prefigures Mary who prefigures the Church. What a love story!! I know this is the way Jesus feels about his Catholic Church. Every-time someone gets on some kind of an anti Catholic jag, I just think about this Scripture and two things happen. #1 I feel sorry for the person that puts down his true Church (his Bride). and #2. I become even deeper in love with him.

Tamar --
Many people don't really know about her. She didn't do anything to tell others about what Jesus had done. Actually she ended up dressing up as if she was a prostitute and sleeping with her father-in-law---God allowed her to do this! She ended up pregnant and I love how God worked through her in a way that was VERY unlike anything that is usually characterized as a woman to be looked up to. I just like how she did something that was considered to be sinful and, yet, God praised her for it in the end.

Rahab.. I find it very comforting that God would bring Jesus into the world through her linage. She was a sinful woman, I am a sinful man... It is just another evidence to show that my faith in Him is justified.... Jim

Hagar because she shows how God blesses the outcast. As a lesbian woman I know he blesses all of us who have been abused by religious fanatics.
