i am trying to find my father who i know was from bali , how would i find him for free ?

i am 21 and im trying to find my father who i last spoke to when i was seven he was in new york then, i dont know much about him but know that him and his family were from indonesia (bali) i also know that his mother worked in post office there i have tried everything i know but cant seem to get anywhere ! i would be very very pleased if i could get some suggestions thank you

Hey emzaemzy,

I would look for his Birth Certificate, by looking at my own - if he is listed as your father, then, it will give where he was born and when. You can then obtain his Birth Record. See the vital records below (you don't have to do this, but it may give clues on his name you did not have).

Then using his name, look in the people finding sites, and maybe even some inexpensive privite investigation sites (below also).

If your mother was married to your dad, there may be clues in a marriage certificate also. Was he military? if so, there are other information services you can use.

Call the Maury show or go to his website and he will try his best to find him for you and if he does he will reunite the both of you on national television
