And no weightlifting? Is that okay?

if you're burning calories, no matter how you do it, you'll lose weight. however, strength training could actually make you lose weight faster, because your muscles burn more calories than your fat cells. you can definitely do ONLY cardio and still lose weight, but you won't tone up as nicely.

Well if you did weight lifting, you would probably gain weight, but lose fat.

yes, but you must also eat properly. no binge diets and no diet that eliminates all of your carbs & fats as your body needs some of them
