No it is not wrong, all parents get stricted especially when it comes to their little girl dating, they get abit edgy on this subject cause they think you might have sex and also think a guy might force you to have it and all sorts of things.

If your dating that just fine just remeber dont have sex til like 18! and remeber have it with someone who you love and at the right time, hope this helps.

Having a boyfriend at any age is dangerous. You can have boy friends at any age. Why not get your parent's to let you hang out it groups of friend that include him. Start by inviting all of them to your house to let your parent's get to know this kid and feel more comfortable with it. If you are already fourteen, then you will be in High School next year, so it's not that long of a wait. Then when you get into high school and want to really date this guy, they will be more comfortable with him and the idea that you are growing up.

Well, in some places... when your 14 you are in high school. But if your parents say you can't date... don't turn around and date. If your desperate, talk with your Mom... she would understand better- I say at lease. If they still say know, become friend's with the guy until you are in high school... then you will know eachother and it will be better for your parents to say yes. They are just worried that you'll go out and ge pregnant. It's nto wrong to have a boyfriend at the age of 14, most people do. You can't really say your parents are being mean though either(not saying that you are saying that, but just saying if you are.)... they just want you to be responsible.

Your parents are right - but you are allowed to have a boyfriend at 14 and can see him at sports games and school dances and at lunch period and such. Dating is an earned responsibility as you grow and about 16 is right for everyone to begin limited dating. Limited dating is normal till you reach 18 and if you choose to stay and live with your parents you will always live by their house rules and will most likely have some limits on dates till you are 21.

Hot Chic,
Absolutely not, this is part of life and You are just expressing normal feelings. There's a lot to having a boyfriend other than officially dating. You will have someone to talk to, someone to hang out with at school, someone to share personal things with (such as your Parents view on dating). Remember your parents love you more than anything in this world and they are only thinking the best for you. Time will pass quickly and then you will be in high school next year and this will all be for naught.

What kind of "date" could a 14 year old go on with a boyfriend anyway? It's okay to like a boy or a girl at 14, but that's it. You don't need to be getting together. That's what your parents are concerned with.

Unlike other parts of the world, here in USA and Europe is not wrong anymore to have a boyfriend at this age. However, try to refrain from having any sex at this early age. Do not get in trouble with boys who can't control their hormones.

No its not but I think your parents are telling you this because they want you focused on school and not on boys right now. I guess you can hang around with him, but maybe its best not to starting dating until you get to high school like your parents said. You don't want to get into any trouble with your parents but I'm sure its fine to be friends with him for now.

Well at 14 you need to change your screen name it is just inviting trouble for our predators out there that prey on KIDS like you, and you really need to listen to your parents they don't tell you things for the hell of it, they have been there done that and know what is best for you, why not worry about school and being a kid instead of growing up so fast. I think maybe your parents should monitor you more on the internet.
