The heavyweight fight last night was at a baseball stadium, which got me thinking about the people in the upper seats. Are there people who still take binoculars to watch the action, or do they just watch the big screen?

The last time I went to a fight at the Thomas & Mack Center I was standing in line to get in when I noticed several people with binoculars around their necks, I asked two of the people that were behind me "What's the binoculars for?" they said "We're up in the nose bleed seats and these are pretty good way to get inside the ring" I asked about the monitors and they said "Sometimes depending on where you are sitting you really can't get a good view of the screens"

Yes, people still do take binoculars to sporting events. However, some of those "binoculars" don't quite improve vision, if you know what I mean.
