I am a swimmer and have an embarrassing problem. I have a lot of bad stretch marks and was wondering if there was any resolution to the problem. Is there any cream I can buy that will make them unnoticeable? How long will it take? I need all the help I can get.

They are questions that only your family doctor can answer....everyone is different.

What may be many stretch marks to you, could be nothing to me after childbirth.....so again we don't know you, and please ask your doctor.....no creams work...got that none!

Vitamin E
Cocoa Butter

^^ Two GREAT ingredients to look for in a lotion. My mother's lotion has Vitamin E in it and it works wonders (It also helps you with wrinkles. Start applying it to your face early and it'll help you later on in life. My mother is 50 and yet everyone thinks she's in her late 30's/early 40's.). Vaseline's Intensive Care Cocoa Butter also works. Neither are very expensive (the latter of the two costs about $6 at Wal Mart and I think my mother's lotion is even cheaper) and they definitely help.

Mind you, they'll never go away. They'll lighten over time and smoothen out a little but they'll still be there. They'll "disappear" faster if you use something on them every night. Massage them but make sure you use some type of lotion because massaging them dry could damage your skin.

Side note: Laser surgery does NOT remove stretch marks. It's a myth. Nothing removes them as the scar (which is what stretch marks are) goes much deeper than the upper layer of your skin. They occur in the dermis, the middle layer.

I have the same problem. Due to weight gain and lose. If your young and they are new put coco butter on them. Also Avon sells some cream too. But strech marks don't just go away. Only way to get rid of them for good, is to get laser surgery. That cost A LOT! You have to get many treatments to get rid of them.
