I have fine, curly hair. Flat irons don't get my hair straight enough. I was hoping someone could tell me how to use a pressing comb and what kind is good to buy? Thanks.

First you need to purchase a thermal oven(ceramic heater stove......Gold N Hot.......by Benson, from Sally's or a beauty supply store. You need the small tooth comb and large pressing comb. The smaller tooth one comes in handy in the front and in the nape area(neck). Start by sectioning your hair in four parts. Front to back and ear to ear. This is to help you manage the hair better and cover every piece. Once your comb is hot ( never let it get to hot, it could burn your hair-----test it) you start from the scalp separating a little for straightening. Pull the comb outward to the ends of the hair. Do not rake the comb downward to touch the scalp. Up and through so you can see. One time on both sides for a soft press. And twice on each side for a hard press. If the comb is hot enough you will visually see the effect. Use hair wax for your hair to stay straight longer. Hope these guidelines help. Oh yeah, a rat tail comb( the end----the long part) is helpful in keeping you from burning your scalp and separating the hair.
