These, and all other non-biblical world-views, have one essential thing in common:
In the end analysis, the followers that are TRUE to the teachings of these religions hope in their OWN "goodness" to get them where they want to go.
In other words, they all all think that they way to Heaven is through their OWN works...their OWN righteousness.
Again, at the end of their life, they believe that only if THEY are good enough, will they go to Heaven.
Yet again, they believe (essentially) that if they stack up all the "good" they have done against all the "bad" that they have done, they are hoping that God will grant them access to heaven based on their "goodness".
Another way to express this though is that if you asked these people WHY they are going to heaven, they would say something like, "well...because I have been a good person...etc."
But they have NO assurance of salvation.
=
Instead, the Bible teaches that NO ONE is good enough to go to heaven. The Bible teaches that NO ONE is righteous. The Bible teaches that NO ONE works their way to heaven. The Bible teaches that NO ONE earns their way to heaven. The Bible clearly states that in the end analysis of EVERYONE's life is that God would not allow ANYBODY into heaven based on their own life.
Access to Heaven is only granted by GRACE through FAITH in Jesus Christ. They enter into Heaven by an IMPUTED righteousness. That is, they go to Heaven based on the righteous life of another, not their own! It is an "alien righteousness", the righteousness of another...the righteousness of Christ Himself that is freely given (grace) to the believer.
-
To clarify and summarize all of this, it can be said that ALL non-biblical world-views, such as those mentioned in your question, are WORKS-based systems.
However, salvation in the Bible is a GRACE-based system.
That is, salvation/heaven/freedom from sin is given FREELY by God (by grace) to ALL through faith in Jesus Christ.
Thus, a true and Biblical response to WHY someone is going to heaven (and is correct) is that because of the GRACE of God, through faith in Jesus Christ dying for their sins on the cross...
-
But what you say is true...they put their trust in people and/or teachings outside of the Bible. Interestingly enough, it is IMPOSSIBLE for man to fathom salvation by GRACE alone, and THEREFORE...ALL heretical teaching, cults, stray thoughts from the Bible ALWAYS end up with a WORKS based salvation, rather than GRACE based. And for this reason, ALL world-views that MAN comes up with end up in this category.
But God's revelation is His glorious Gospel of Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ!
Praise His glorious name!

Mormonism founded by Joseph Smith in America.
Jehovah Witness founded by Charles Taxe Russell 1852-1915.
Islam founded by Prophet Mohammed 625 AD
Roman Catholicism founded by Jesus Christ 33 AD
Historical Fact.
Many hate what they perceive of Roman Catholicism, not the Truth of Roman Catholicism.

I guess even the Roman Catholic church has a form of extra Biblical revelation. They except part of the Apocrypha that most christian reject. The common threads here are:
1. Extra Biblical revelation
2. Strong central leadership
3. A conviction that they are the only way to God...
I like it much better knowing that Christ Himself is the Way the Truth and the Life..... Jim

They are all based on lies, and just forms of religion. The actual meaning of the word religion when looked at in the Greek form of the word means: "Return to bondage"! Or to be bound again. Like "a dog returns to his vomit" or "a sow after being washed returns to her mud hole".
All religion will do is lead you into more hell. All religion will do is lead a person straight to hell. Now a relationship with God the father through His son Jesus Christ, is the only way to heaven.

What your thoughts should be is what Christ thought. He said many would declare themselves in his name. The question is who are the many, and who isn't? Following his comments, simply saying you are a Christian or claiming to speak in his name, is not enough. So, what else does it require? Does it require having similar beliefs as all the other religions, including those he was talking about?

particular, we do. I bear in mind in Revelation financial disaster 7 it talks appropriate to the total crowd having palm branches of their hands. What this shows is that the total crowd honor Jesus because of the fact the King of God's kingdom. only as while Jesus rode into Jerusalem they recognized Jesus as king, we as Witnesses do the comparable; Matthew 21:a million-11. We additionally honor Jesus as quickly as we proceed interior the artwork he began, preaching the stable information of God's kingdom; Luke 4:40 3 somewhat it somewhat is stable to honor righteous human beings.

The common thread is this: they all believe that if you don't follow their ways of prayer, teaching, practice, etc..you will ultimately burn in hell. They have the "its my way or the highway" mentality and if you practice one of the other religions you are on the losing team. I have faith in God and hope for humanity, practicing to be kind and compassionate. Will I kill you or condemn you to hell if you don't want to hang with me? No, but those churches in your question might!

Jehovah's Witnesses use God's name and ancient texts used God's name. That is a startling difference and makes them unique.

I agree with you. I also believe that they are false religions. The only true religion is bible-believing Christianity.
