I feel as if though im being dissed because im a skinny 13 year old and want to be involved in sports, knowin i'll kick butt...they're scared for me "hurting myself"

You may have some vitamin shortage and intestinal worm problem if you are aeting well and not gaining weight.
Check up both. Exercise and then eat high protein food you will gain. Think of a 3 month to 6 mopnth program.

I'm not making fun of anyone on this site but to the person asking this question, you should talk to someone educated in biology and anatomy like one of your science teachers or school nurse, even a doctor. You should also remember that you are still very young and just beginning to gain your secondary sexual characteristics which includes, especially in men, muscle gain. I knew a lot of people that gained at lease 50 lbs of pure muscle between 7th grade and their sophmore year.

go swimming more often, go for a run everyday that way u gain muscle and not fat. Just make sure to do something active everyday, then after you gain some weight try joining a soccer team or a track team whatever you are interested in

hydro-load carbs. there's really no good/safe/effective way to gain weight. even if you eat twice as much, sometimes younger people have a naturally high burning metabolism than others so it just gets turned into energy instead of fat. working out is a good way to gain muscle mass, but stay away from these protein powders. Long-term research shows detrimental effects on your health.

I know i had the same problem but then i started drinking carnation instant breakfast. Now average weight only problem is after all these years no one will still put me on a team thinking i suck.

Try drinking a glass of cold milk with two tablespoons (or your choice) of honey every night and see the results within two months.

Do not overdo it more than two months....leave it for one month and start again for two months if you require.

studies have shown (i know im sounding geeky) that ppl. who lay around all day playing vid.games or watching tv. add excess fat.
you can also eat cake and do way less excersie and more munching. but the realy fast way is getting pregnant. lol. hope i helped anyways
