Knew lightly, is real good friend of mom's.Very special person though. Always kind, nice, already said won't be at Mass.Feel bad, but really won't go to funeral if I can help it! What is a vigil service? Would this be easier to attend?

Yes, I simply cover the error with white out. It's better than buying another overpriced card.

I am sorry for your loss.

Do you mean the wake? The wake is usually the night before. I guess you could say it is a sort of "vigil service". If you can not attend the funeral, then showing up at the wake is a nice gesture on your part.

How badly did you make your spelling error? Is it an expensive card? If it is just one error on an expensive card, just draw a line through it and send it anyway. If it is an inexpensive card, I would just recycle it and send a new card all together. If you have made many spelling errors I would recycle the card and then write it all out correctly on a new card.

If its a sympathy card, then the point of it is to show the person how much you care about their loved one that died, no matter how close they were to you.

And how would you like it if someone sent you a card with "she'll be surely mised"?

It will make you feel better, and give you a better conscience knowing that you put forth a bit of effort.

There will be hundreds of cards. The error won't be noticed, or it will be overlooked. It's always the thought that counts. I think.

They are cheap enough and the family will be reading and going over these so go out and get another.

It depends on the card. If I have another one handy (and it's no an expensive card), then I would use another one (also depends on how big your error is). If it's a handmade card, then I would use white-out.

It depends on what type and how big the error was. What type of error did you make?
