"When using a 1200 Watt microwave, set the timer to 3:00 for a very small potato; set it to 4:30 for a medium-sized potato; and set it to 6:00 for a large potato. Huge potatoes require 7 to 8 minutes."
It wouldn't really be a "baked" potato; but here's information on microwaving one: http://www.wikihow.com/Bake-a-Potato-Using-a-Microwave

It usually depends on the size of the potato. Your microwave has a button on it for potatos that will allow you to choose the settings in accordance to the size of the potato.
Small = 2-3 minutes
Med = 4-5 minutes
Large = 5-6 minutes

Take the potato and prick some holes in it with a fork so it doesnt explode in the microwave. Then take a square of paper towel and wrap the potato in it and put it in a microwave safe container or even just on the turntable will be fine as long as you leave a space between each potato. Set the microwave on high for ten (10) minutes and enjoy.

Medium potato about 3 minutes per potato. Check by sticking a fork in the center.

Well... I got to this question too late... 4-8 minutes depending on size.
What I miss is the 1980's store in the shopping mall "One Potato-Two Potato" !! They had MONSTER Idaho Spuds served with a number of different toppings: cheese and ham, chili and cheese, turkey and cheese, bacon and cheese, veggies, sour cream... ah yummy !!
Back then I worked at Macy's over Christmas Break, and often took my dinners there.

Depending on size of course. Cut a deep cross on top after scrubbing it in cold water. Stick it in on full blast for three minutes. Squeeze it (covered with a cloth) and if it is not soft enough, give it another two minutes. Try again. Add a little butter or cheese in the now open cross and give it another minute. It should now be Delicious. Do not use any salt until it is completed................... and be careful, it will be extremely hot.
