No, there's no original bible written in stone. It was written by many men through the milennia. Those men frequently had imperfect understanding, or in some cases, no understanding at all. It has been translated hundreds of times. The council of Nicea approximately 400 A.D. winnowed out hundreds, maybe thousands of books that were unacceptable to include in the bible. After that point, anybody who had a different opinion was tortured, burned or drowned. The part about a woman translating it? Women have not had access to education except very recently, say within the last 150 years.

I am interested how you say you "can tell" the Bible has been passed by a hundred men before "we" got to see it.

There are many translations, agreed, and I think this naturally gives rise for the possibility of error, so the most accurate translations are found in Hebrew and Greek so far as I am informed.

I don't think it is relevant to know whether a woman ever translated it, what the translator should be aware of it the warning God gives to anyone who adds to it or takes away from it. From a personal opinion, I don't think a woman has translated it but neither do I think it matters.

Well, God (big G dude) did say those things because the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is God-spoken. I believe it 100% without question - that's based on faith and I accept others doubt it and that's up to them, I won't rant about it.

What is the "original Bible"? It wasn't written in stone, that was the 10 commandments.

Either way, it's an interesting number of questions but at the end of the day, God spoke the Word and He loves you with endless long-suffering in the hope you might exercise your free will to come to Him. If and when you do, He will blow you away with the stuff He has set aside for you!

Jesus drank of the cup so you wouldn't have to. The Bible isn't screwed up - it's our human thinking that wraps us up in endless bondage about it.

Well lets see. Most of the old testament was taught to people during the sader meals. This is a lesson time that is lead by the matriarch (head woman) in the house. The Bible is also clear in Proverbs shapters 1-3 that the atributes of God; wisdom and knowledge are feminine. The first judge of the Israelite people was Ruth. Ownership of family land passes through the daughters. while the men went off to war or on trading caravans the women ran the estates including managing lare numbers of servants and all the family wealth. Women were the teachers of the children and if they did not like the system I would think they would have taught the children differently.

Yes culture and society was and to this day still seems to be patriarchial. In reality real power and athority lie in women. IF change is what is desired all women have to do is face their male bullys and we will run away like the Giant who got bopped in the head from the slingshot of a little kid.

The Bible has probably been translated so many times that it has lost its original meaning.
Each translation probably put a spin on the words to conform to the politics and policies of the era. A good example of this is the King James translation which was a new version would conform to the ecclesiology of the Church of England not the Roman Catholic Church.

There is no inerrant text of The Bible in existance today. There is no "original" text of The Bible exixting... All that we have are copies of copies of copies and copies of translations... and the most we have today are only from fragments of those copies.

But, The Word and Will of God can still be found in most of the "modern" text...but, only by the leading of The Holy Spirit... There is nothing in The Bible of The True Christian Faith that is for the non-believer... only those open to the leading of The Spirit will find what God has for them.

there are some so-called 'modern" translations that are nothing but garbage... it is the worst in history for the deliberate misleading of some 'translations"... this is directly due to the deceptions influened by the forces of evil to deceive as many as possable and kkep them from The Truth...

I accept email questions concerning the basics of The True Christian Faith. 1 honest question receives 1 honest answer to the best of my ability.

There has most certainly been a great deal of interference and distortion of truth relating to Biblical doctrine, the original church was a far different one from the hundreds of groups that exist today, who incessently argue and debate their individual and collective views.

The countless schisms and sectarean views currently held, is testimony in itself to the various interpretations or perceptions of original absolute points of wisdom, as there is no longer any pure chain of disciplic succession, it is doubtfull that there will ever be unity within Christianity.

For example, the original apostolic Church of Rome has been influenced and distorted by the political prowess of various Roman emperors, this includes the Nicene Creed, which is still practised today, which is the direct result of a decision by the Roman Emperor Constantine to form a State religion to satisfy secular political imperatives of his time.

There is little doubt that in the course of such a process many of the deeper spiritual beliefs and insights espoused by Jesus were dispensed with as they were either misunderstood, or presented a real threat to the power and authority of the Roman Emperor.

Perennial esoteric spiritual concepts such as the essential unity or "oneness" of the Universe and the immortality of the Soul associated with reincarnation, the references to which where completely removed by Justinian in 553, to gain more social control, by the promotion of a "one chance to get it right or face eternal damnation" view that proved effective in maintaining social control, whilst the Roman empire began to dissolve.

Constantine's and Justinian's influence was significant and politically motivated in altering the original teachings of Jesus and has further developed through the centuries, by modern reformers into a simplistic faith system, which is appealing to many followers, who are now mentally conditioned into accepting this lazy interpretation, which promotes self deception and a false sense of security, which is clearly incompatible with Jesus's original message.

we still have the original languages of the Bible

one must understand that when reading the Bible what time period it was written for. These were for people that lived over 3,000 years ago in a culture far different than ours. The concept of female equality no slavery, and how to act in war did not exist in those times. If you want to know more study history of the period and you will see that compared to law systems such as Hammurabi that required men to be killed for destroying property and that one could pay off the family if he killed a member it was a revolutionary step in societies development of morality and ethics.

2 Tim. 3:16
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

Boy, do you have a lot to learn about the history of the Bible. While we don't have the originals, we do have very accurate and dependable copies; far more than for any other ancient text. For example, there are three copies of documents that refer to Julius Caesar, five copies of Homer's Odyssey. There are thousands of copies of various parts of the New Testament. The Dead Sea Scrolls copies of the Old Testament are identical, with minor variations, to the Old Testament we have today.

It has been mis-translated to appease King James.
I just want it translated to English from the original Greek and Hebrew.

....and then again, before the written languages were invented, these stories were passed down verbally from generation to generation; and might have left out some detail.
