I have this guy flirting with me, and I like him. (I'm f/23) I can stare with all my might--when he isn't looking. I am so darn eye shy. In fact, I find it difficult to flirt back. I do try though. Everytime I am around him, I keep telling myself, "let him catch you looking at him" but as soon as he looks, I look away as if I wasn't looking and that I am not even interested in him. *sigh*. This has been going on for about a few weeks now, but now he is not doing it as much anymore. I guess I am talking more than asking a question. I just find it freaky to flirt. I have never actually wanted to go out of my way to flirt with a guy before. SInce I am so darn eye-shy, is there anything else I can do?

touch is very important and can send the right message. Don't make it too personal, but touch his arm casually. Brush hands with him. If you know he is looking at you, smile, even if you aren't looking at him. It's like you are acknowledging his flirtation. Guys like girls who are bold. Work on your eye shy, because if you catch his eye just once, that may be all it takes.

Yes- quit trying to flirt- go up and have a conversation with him. Catching glances is a hard thing to do, since the meaning is often misunderstood. The best thing you can do is go up and start to talk- then and only then can you see if there is actually a connection or not. Heck, maybe he thinks you arent interested!

It's okay if you look away, he is probably smart enough to know that you're shy. Just keep talking to him and occasionally ask him out to dinner or a movie or something friendly. Then hopefully you'll become more comfortable with him, etc.

Girls underestimate the power of their smile. Just smile at him, that's really all you'll need to do. Yes, you're shy, just take all of your shyness and wrap it up into a tight little ball and toss it over your shoulder. It'll be back, but that should buy you enough time.

well, do you have verbal-phobia, too? :-) try starting a convo or get his email so its not face-to-face. eye-contact is a lot, so try to get over your eye phobia, becuz that trick can do a lot for you. if you can look at him long enough, throw in a flirty smile. good luck girl!

Dont be scared go up and talk to that person.
Until you hear and understand what that person is about you'll never know what kind of a chance you'll have.

what you could do is stare at him and think of something else so it looks like you are focusing on him and when he looks over at you think harder about the thing u r thinking about.it seems confusing but it works.
