It just means fresh things, things that will go "bad" quickly--produce, meat, etc--as opposed to things with a long shelf life, like canned goods.

Non-perishable - canned goods, salt, and some spices if in sealed containers.

like if you leave yogurt or milk outside the fridge they go bad, that is what is meant by perishable.
An example of none perishable food is canned food. Raw rice and pasta.
