She ate: an oatmeal packet, a couple pieces of candy (chocolate) , some stuff in a plastic bag (no idea what), and some more stuff in a plastic bag (no idea what).
Now she's trembling in her back legs, yelps when we either pick her up or hug her, her tail's between her legs, she hunches over, and just wants to lay down.

Chocolate is a big no no for dogs to eat...in large amounts it can be fatal...
Could it be also that she may have eaten plastic?
I would be phoning the vet and getting in to see him ASAP

Chocolate is fatal to dog, dark chocolate is more toxic (my friend's beagle ate a whole pound of See's milk chocolate - fortunately he is still alive the little chow hound!). Seeing as how your beagle ate quite a bit of different foods, and no doubt maybe even the plastic I would take your dog to the emergency vet's right away.
Do not hesitate as you could be saving your dogs life and it is better to be safe than sorry. Go to the emergency vets now!

She could have swallowed some plastic that is causing a blockage somewhere or she could be dying from poisoning from the chocolate. Dogs and cats can be poisoned by chocolate. You need to take her to a vet as quickly as possible.

I doubt she had enough chocolate to kill her, but she may have eaten someting like plastic or another object that will not pass. The other problem could be pancreatitis.
Take the dog to a vet!!!!!!!

Take her to the vet! She maybe poisoned from the chocolate! The vet will tell you what to do from there. I hope your dog feels better!
