Changing your diet can help with trimming your legs if you've got some extra podge you're not happy with - I don't suggest a full-out diet, just make sure you're getting your 5-a-day and, if you need to, lose 1 or 2lbs a week just by cutting out the sweet fatty stuff, but still eat healthy, normal-size meals.
If you want to lengthen your legs, lots of celebrities swear by pilates. You can do it at home with a video, but if you go to a class you'll get the benefit of a teacher who can tell you if you're doing it right and see what you should be doing to achieve the right results. It should be quite inexpensive! :o)
To keep away cellulite, use an exfoliator and a body mitt and massage in circular motions in the shower - it will increase blood flow and prevent yicky cellulite!
DON'T go out and tan - you'll look GROSS and leathery after a while! Smart girls fake it - mix the tan mix with moisturiser for a streak-free, natural look :o)

While running may not be the healthiest of activities as there is a high amount of accumulated damage, walking is advantageous. Incorporate strength training into your exercise regime, and don't just work on your legs! Do more sets of lesser reps of different exercises.
As well, watch what you are eating. Cutting out everything is not beneficial in the nutritional side ot things, so simply watch what you eat, and eat in moderation. Try to lessen the amount of trans fats and saturated fats and introduce a moderate amount of monosaturated fats into your diet instead (such as olive oil, preferrably, extra virgin). You'll feel healthier as well.
