How can anyone who professes to be a Christian vote for a Democrat, when the Democrat platform endorses abortion on demand and supports gay marriage? These two issues are contrary to what the Bible tells us. When Jesus confronted Saul, who 'thought' he was doing the work of God, he asked him "Is it hard to kick against the pricks?"

Is it so hard for Christians to stand up for God?

Truth be told, when I started to vote, I voted for Clinton. would you believe that? *lol*

When I started reading the Bible and discovered God's Truth and wisdom, my eyes opened to the real meaning of Liberals. I have not voted for any Democrat ever since.

You WILL NOT find that p-word in the Bible. I'd say that what you wrote is contrary to the Bible. Using words like that (if you are a Christian) is completely inappropriate.

To answer your question, some voters don't really think about who's supportive of what. They just choose the option that lets them vote for all Democratic (or all Republican) candidates. Yes, it's wrong, but a voter may not know what a candidate supports. And, yes, it can be hard to stand up for God. Especially when you're in a group made up of mostly non-believers.

You got a point. But God is not affiliated with democrats or republicans. Both sides are out for their own cause and none of them happen to be Gods cause. If you vote your fooling your self into thinking you will change a problem and not make it worse. Now I got a question can anyone get into politics without compromising their believes in some manner or another. One more question, When is the last time any law has been made that has been for the good, that has actually turned out to be good and not have some other ulterior motive

No it is not hard to stand up for GOD. But voting democrat or republican is not as simple as that. I do not believe in abortion nor gay marriage. We are not the ones who have to take care of them. GOD will sort that out later. I also do not believe in a president that takes us to war for his own agenda or has the economy so poor that people are losing their homes and such. You can not simplify this into if you are a Christian you can not vote democrat.

It's not as cut-and-dry as you try and make it.

How can anyone who professes to be a Christian vote for a Republican, considering the warmongering they've been guilty of, with George W Bush at the wheel?

Ultimately you have two parties, neither of which are perfect - you need to choose one.

Haha, neither party is truly Christian....Democrats support gay marriage and abortion. Repulicans support a war with thousands of casualties...despite the purposes behind a war, this is far from the "turn the other cheek" philosophy taught by Jesus...

Yes, I'm a Christian, and I generally don't support Republican candidates. Not all Christians are Fundamentalists. My own church continues to open up toward the gay community, and I'm fine with that. Why do ultra right-wing conservatives presume to speak for all of Christianity?

I fully agree! Many Christians have left the Democratic Party because the Party abandoned Christian values. That is why they bash Christians and their values all the time.

It is like what Bush said after 9/11:

If you harbour a terrorist or sponsor a terrorist, you're a terrorist and we are coming after you!

Anyone who votes with their AGENDA is not a Christian but an Anti-Christian.

Where are you getting this from in the bible? Jesus asked Saul why he was persecuting Him? You might want to reread Acts.

the term "christian" has been so watered down through the ages...that in the modern era people interpret it as nothing more than a cheesy goody goody phrase that encourages us to " be postiive" , "have faith", love and help people, etc.

it has een totally stripped of the core message...that we are all in need of divine mercy an must accept christ's suffering as eternal pardon for our flithy, wicked sin! no tough love message of redemption anymore....

the short answer is...because we live in a self-righteous world. i am sorry...but we do!

i agree with you too btw
