Not always. People have different reasons for cheating - never a good reason, but still a reason. Some of these are applicable at a certain point in their life, or have an underlying cause that can be addressed some other way. If you stay with someone who has cheated on you, then you need to make improvements in open communication and the possibility of treatment if needed.

Cheating on the one you are suppose to love is a sign of a character defect. People can change but I don't want to be around to see it because it could take a decade or two and a lot of painful situations for the cheater. I would rather go on and be in a loving monogumous relations with a more mature and less devious person.

Sometimes the cheater never heals. The defect is never better and they bounce from one relationship to the other in search of their next victim. Like a striking snake or a stalking tiger they know exactly what to do or say to hypnotise their victim.

Most of the time they would continue to cheat. However, there are some people who truly reform because they are really sorry for cheating. You have to make it clear that you are working on forgiving but it's going to take a while and that trust has to be re-built. You can give second chances if your heart and mind can take it but if you can't, move on and stop hurting yourself.

no not always. sometimes they just wen't with the right person at the time, or were young and stupid and hornie, sometimes it was becase of low self esteem, sometimes people do stop cheating when they settle down with that one special person. second chances are hard to come by and don't give them one unless you really mean it, because if they think your going to keep throwing in their face what they've done in the past odds are they will just keep cheating.

no, not always. someone could have been very unhappy in a relationship and thought cheating was the only way to feel happy again. people can change for the better, but be wary.

History quiet often repeats itself. However if a person does find someone that they truly adore and respect I believe that it is very possible for them to change their cheating ways.
