Ignore it or keep busy. I have had it for 60 years and I am still partly sane. I forgot it until I read this post. HaHa.

Have you been to an ear specialist? Sometimes tinnittus or ringing, swooshing or buzzing sounds in the ear are caused by a sinus or ear infection. It can also be the result of nerve damage from an injury, or water trapped inside the ear canal from swimming. There are meds and treatments that can help, or white-sound therapy. Pulsing sounds is when you can hear your pulse in your ears. This is also due to pressure from sinus blockage, and usually clears up when the infection goes away. See your doctor.

I have had tinnitus for ten years. The only time it really bothers me anymore is at night when I sleep. I have to sleep with a white noise machine on to drown out the ringing in my ears. During the day I usually have the TV or radio on to drown it out. Unfortunately there is no cure.
