are the muslims out there getting annoyed with the questions coming from people who frankly, are not looking for an answer? instead their questions have a racist undertone and incite racist comments from other idiotic people who really just read the Sun too much.

i think questions from poeple who genuinely just want to know the answer are fine by the way..and by 'The Sun' i mean general anti-foreigner propaganda that we see in the tabloids

Assalamoalakum Sister Cici,
You and I are on the same wave-length. Annoyed? A little sometimes, but Allah says they are nothing but a trifling annoyance at best. And what should we do about getting questions from those who mock our faith? Answer the questions in a way that show our faith and patience, and the qualities of who we really are. Don't think other non-Muslims aren't noticing our attitudes are better than the jerks who are asking these idiotic questions. They are just upset because they see they are not effective in their questioning, and their attempts at trying to turn people away from Islam are futile at best. People will always convert to Islam, and love Islam, in spite of their attempts to bash it. The beauty of Islam speaks for itself. Peace sister.
Btw, it seems like Chancer's points of view are not very popular, even among the English. lol. He's just a butt-head. lol. Bye, hun.

Some people ask questions because not much is known to your average person about the Muslim religion. I see your point though. Some people feel the need to ask a question that is rather insulting. This happens towards Christians and Atheists too. This may sound like a childish way to put it, but it goes back to the saying "if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all" or in this case ask.

I just asked a question to Muslims, not because I wished to incite, but because I wanted to get an answer from someone who would know.
I do not know any Muslim people personally to ask.
I don't read the Sun at all -- but I asked the question because of an article I was reading at History New Network:
http://hnn.us/articles/934.html
I wanted to learn more about the difference between Shiite and Sunni Muslims after reading about Saddam's sentencing.
I hope very much no Muslim took my question to be racist.

Your quite right in what you say, there are a small number of questions set by obvious racists. Just trying to stir you up, and you fell for it im afraid. You should have let it go over your head. I have also seen questions asked by muslims, which have been asked to wind up the racists, just as bad surely. And questions aimed at the american audiance, trying to rile them over their president, and have comments about iraq and dictators posted for them to crow about. Its not religion though, that receives the most of these questions. Questions from men or women, trying to wind up the opposite sex, appear much more frequent. Its different peoples idea of humour, however warped, just ignore the obvious traps, and answer questions you know about and believe in, whatever your colour religion etc etc
