To the Muslim community?

Question

With respect to Muslims and all religions, but I
would like to know why when one critizises the
way a Muslim dresses they defend openly as to
why but when terriorist that are Muslims kill
people why is it that the Muslims do not react
in the same way openly critizing the terrorists.
I think it would be in their best interest to do so
as the true Muslim teaches good and the
terrorists teaches bad so why do the Muslims
not defend themselves openly by critizing the
terrorists, some do but very few to where the
voice is not heard but the majority of Muslims
are silent when the terrorists who are Muslims
commit such acts. Just asking..TKS

I agree with you totally, and they do criticize the terrorists in the middle east's media strongly and all the time. But they should do so internationally as well. Maybe they feel that since they're under fire from the western media about it, and so they don't feel they have a voice to do so openly on the international arena...m not sure. But that issue is discussed and the terrorists are criticized in the muslim world and its media all the time.

muslim women are supposed to wear the hijab.. so when people make fun of it, they have quotes and verses and reasoning o back up why they wear the hijab.

when it comes to terrorism.. um, the other day egypts prime minister [it may been president, one of those] said that terrorism was wrong and that it's time to show the true islam by denouncing terrorists.. that sounds like a muslim is speaking out.. better yet, a leader.

also, when it comes to terrorism, muslims do take action, and do condemn the terrorists.. but face the facts.. when you look at questions here, you see more about the hijab then terrorism. but when you do see the terrorism questions, muslims always answer with "that's not the true islam." what more can they say? what more are they supposed to say? they DO denounce terrorism.

last time i checked, most muslims were denouncing terrorism. now it would be better if they did more to denounce it, but it would also be better if us christians did more to promote equality and tolerance and inter religious dialouge.

and how does this make the practice of dowry evil? could it no longer be the area of girls human beings in those cultures somewhat that is evil? the rationalization I ask this, is because of the fact dowries have been utilized in lots of cultures that placed women human beings on equivalent or bigger prestige than their male opposite numbers without the adverse impact of those cultures. certainly, historical Germanic subculture used dowries, genuinely an entire team of presents. women human beings have been given a dowry to maintain, their kinfolk a bride value, and the husband recieved the present of a sword in replace for his ancestral sword. yet, the prestige of girls human beings in historical Germanic subculture replaced into bigger than that for the period of their Christian and Jewish opposite numbers interior the Roman Empire and someplace else. consequently, you could no longer somewhat say the practice of dowry is evil, yet somewhat the area those cultures place women human beings in is. have been women human beings seen equals there would not be a issue. the genuine issue is those women human beings are considered owned, and the dowries are paid to the groom's kinfolk. To me, that is backwards. The dowry could be paid to the spouse, and her rights acknowledged.
