No more than once every 30 days. Washing more often can cause great skin irritation (loses natural oil). Every other month is good if your dog isn't dirty. Check the shampoo label though, some such as flea shampoos are to be used every 30 days to keep working. And if you live where it gets real cold, don't bathe as often in the winter.

Dogs shouldn't be bathed too often. It's usually an "only when necessary" thing. And when it comes to a dog with already dry skin, bathing should be kept to an extreme minimum. Bathing washes away the natural oils, drying the skin out more.
If you want to freshen his coat, try some pet wipes. For his dry skin, look for a spray or food supplement to help with it.

I usually recommend every two weeks for a dog that size. Also try using a shampoo that has a conditioner in it since your dog has dry skin. Also remember that if you are using a flea preventative such as frontline or advantix not to apply it two to three days before of after a bath. If your dog is not an outside dog then every three weeks is fine.

It is a little often. Not too awful though. you should bathe a dog about once every four to six weeks.

The last vet I talked to in regards to bathing suggested only twice per year, unless they really require another one. I have two siberian huskies and they tend to be more like cats in keeping themselves clean.
