My dad sometimes looks over my homework. He tells me if he thinks something is wrong and I do it over again. He doesn't give me the answers, though.

thats good because then you correct your mistakes. If you asked for help from your teacher, she would do the same and it wouldnt be cheating.

That's the whole point of him looking over your homework. He doesn't look over your homework to give you the answers, he looks over it so that he can point out the mistakes you made, and then let you try and correct the answers yourself. If he gave you the answers everytime they were wrong then you would never learn what you were doing wrong.

Definately okay. Sounds like a good dad. It's great when parents get directly involved in education. If he ever starts GIVING you the answers make sure he understands that you need to find them for yourself. Or if you get a tough one have him help you get to the answer rather than just giving it to you. Happy learning.

I think it is great for a parent to look over your work and help when help is needed. As long as he doe not give you the answers than it is perfectly fine.

you're lucky to have a dad like that! he doesnt give you the answers because he wants you to correct it youself so you dont make the same mistake again. Next time he does that, redo the problem and ask him to check your new answer. Hope this helps!

Totally ok if your Dad is a smart guy. However if he is a deedeedee then I would let Mom check it.( By the way most Dads are)

if he gives you the answer, then you will never figure out how to solve it.

usually in the back of text books (i.e. math books), they give you an answer key that you can use to check your work on your own. they'll give you the answer, but it wont break it down for you to show you how to get that answer.

your dad is helping you in the right way.

this is kinda an opinion question, but i think that it's perfectly fine as long as he's not giving you the answers. It'll help you learn from your mistakes
