i was in this situation before. you need to tell him how you really feel. dont string him along cause if you do, next thing you know you will be married to him with 5 kids or so and really unhappy, and getting out will be harder. tell him asap! its not fair to him for him to think you love him and its not fair to you to stay with someone you dont really love anymore. the best way to do it is in person and dont beat around the bush. be up front and honest about it. you both will be better for it in the long run.

Tell the truth always. I am the oppossive to you I left the love of my life and spent four years with someone I didn't love for all the wroug reasons. Now I am with the love of my life. You need to be happy and the longer you lie the more it hurts both you and the other parties. Be happy!! Go be with your love and tell the other the truth.

As far as emotion are concerned you re-engaged with him.But if your Heart-mind-body and soul with some one else; so someday you will have to hurt him,so why not to day.If things get rotten cut it out so remaining part remains the way you like.

the best you can do is be honest.... how would you feel is someone is with you just because he doesn't want to hurt you... but he doesn't love you?
eventually thinks will get even more frustrating for you...so why go that way... when you can ended up without making it more painful...
talk to him... be honest to him.. let him know how you feel....that's the key for a great relationship....

Trying to spare his feelings will only make it worse. Tell him immediately, the longer you wait the harder it will be. He'll hurt for a while, but he'll get over it and you'll both be able to move on.

YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL HIM HOW YOU FEEL AND IF HE REALLY LOVES YOU THEN HE SHOULD UNDERSTAND. PEOPLE CHANGE AND MOVE ON AND HE HAS TO UNDERSTAND THAT WHAT WAS THERE JUST ISNT ANYMORE. AND WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT THIS KIND OF NEWS TO HIM IS GOING TO HURT EVEN IF YOU TOLD HIM IN THE NICEST WAY. BUT WHEN YOU TALK ABOUT IT AND UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER IT WILL BECOME EASIER TO HANDLE.

i was in the same situation once. we were engaged and then broke up. got back together but he didn't just want to be together, he wanted to be engaged again. i wanted to be happy with him, but i just couldn't. i loved him, but i wasn't in love with him. you are just going to have to tell him. that is the only way. he is probably going to hate you, but it's the only way.
