I use Blue Mountain Jamaican coffee because of its intense flavor and aroma and it is considered to be one of the finest in the world! Of course, any coffee needs to be perked in a percolator or made in a botum! Coffee makers just don't make the grade in my opinion! Starbucks Italian Roast is very nice also!

For the bulk stuff, I trust Chock-full-o-nuts. May be because it's the one that my grandparents used to serve at the family gatherings, but I find it to be the smoothest coffee in a can.
As for the BEST? Try local coffee growers, ask around. The best coffees to make at home are the whole-bean (grind at home) and the freshest you can find.

i love the torrefazione italia brand. currently they only do foodservice accounts for cruises and high end restaurants but they also have a significant location in supermarkets. i love the pergia blend. i have an espresso machine at home and i love the taste of pergia. it has a dense body with roasty caramel notes. it really does raise the bar on what good coffee is.
