i'm also a deer hunter and i think that hunting is a great outdoor activity....and i love the meat but their are people out there who make hunting sound wrong and mean, because some hunters hunt for the "wrong" reasons doesnt mean they all do and i'm sure there is stuff she does that u dont agree w/ , try talking to her about it

I've been hunting deer for years & work as a vet-tech at an animal hospital for the last 8 years, lol, people cant understand how I love my job so much & cry with people when they have to put their dogs to sleep & can go out and kill deer, but like you, I love hunting, I dont torture them, make good clean shots & we eat what we kill, there is nothing wrong with hunting & if they really knew the truth about how cows & pigs are killed in slaughter houses for bacon & hamburger, they would probally rather us just shoot them. Have a good year hunting!

All are valid points..
Good to see so many FOR-hunters replies....
I am on a crusade to "report" all Anti-hunters that come into our section of the forumand "BASH" us for hunting..Who is with me??
As for your question: Some people do not like the idea of hunting nor do they want to know how the "hamburger" made from cow gets on the shelf...With blinders on it is easy to fall into the trap of it is just there. We, Hunters, see the truth once a year and are better off and grateful for it. Love what nature has provided, yet, consume all that is given.

I enjoy the hunt and I enjoy the venison. It seems a lot less cruel to give something that has lived a free life a sudden and unexpected death than to keep an animal in a crate or a feed lot for a year or so then take it to a factory and butcher it.

Well, I shot my first deer a few weeks ago. The acutual kill was very difficult for me to handle, but we do feed our family with the meat. Some people are just real dramatic about certain things, just ignore her.

hunting is 10x more fun than just picking up a pack of frozen meat at the grocery store.

I supplement our grocery income with the deer meat that we harvest every year. A couple hundred pounds of deer, partrige, turkey & fish saves us alot at the grocery store every year.

O.k. by me. That's one less chance of someone hitting it with a motor vehicle and possibly causing bodily injury.

THERE ARE SOME PEOPLE THAT JUST CAN NOT BRING THEMSELVES TO KILL AN ANIMAL. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG ABOUT HUNTING. AS LONG AS YOU DO IT FOR FOOD AND NOT FOR JUST TROPHY.
