I believe that it all starts with one smile, kind words toward one another. Perhaps not pointing out what we hate from each other but what we admire from one another. I truly believe that if we see our reflection in others we can come to a middle ground and find we are not so different from each other.

Humans are, by natural design, creatures of conflict. It is just more evidence that humans are not the supreme creatures of the world.

However, steps can be taken to consciously look at each other and stop bickering. For this to be successful, it has to begin with the most powerful entities (such as the larger organized religions) laying down their arms and their desires for crusades. From there, we can hope to rectify things. Because of human nature, we can not bring about world peace until the death of humanity--however, we CAN work to make things better than they are now.

Thanks for this question, it really made me think.

When a baby cries, is the crying physical body real or is the being inside teh body feeling the need to cry real? From our perspective, the two are indistinguishable, but to the baby he is crying for a real reason, he may be hungry, tired or insecure. He does not even think about real, to a child everything in his head is real. The monster under the bed is as real as his mother.

That's how I see the followers of the worlds' religions - I see them as babies. Your beautiful and kind words would work for some babies, the ones that seek comfort, and in other cases like the hungry or impoverished babies, your wonderful kindness will not replace their need to cry.

Though I agree, there are some people who are just too far gone. I know a guy who was so traumatized in life that if he gets half a chance he'd blow up the whole planet. Those are the ones you have to worry about. No amount of love can save them.

I will ring your doorbell and run away!!!

Absolutely. Ultimately everyone has one person to control; themself. I think people choose to struggle spiritually and religiously, often misusing doctrine to promote hate, exclusion and mistrust. Reguardless of how we received our message from God, The prophet Moses, The Angel Gabriel, Jesus, the Son of God, or Mohammed, His Messenger, we need to recognize that we are all God's children are special in his eyes and treat each other accordingly.

I can only speak for myself and what Muslims should do. A Muslim is supposed to be kind to others and show them the true path of Islam. If we have a treaty with others we are to keep our treaty and our word. What ever we do represents Islam and we need to be aware of that. Lead by example, you can't expect someone to come to Islam if you are acting intolerant. As for how it starts with me I need to put this in my life. I try but could certainly do better, we all could.

Oh my, kindness is everything. People showing kindness between themselves is God in action. I'm sixty one this December. I am still striving to be kind always, even especially when I most do not feel like being kind... a very long hard lonely dangerous story here.

The Christian doctrine has been to love thy neighbour for two thousand years. Yet the world has plunged deeper into madness. The world is a mad state of decline and the scientific revolution may be futile to stop it. Arms . . .

No, the only true remedy is to open our hearts and our minds to the love and mercy of the one true God, and to salvation thru His Son, Jesus.
