My mum had a lumbar puncture and wasn't incredibly in any outstanding soreness yet once you're, talk this through way of including your well being care specialist on his rounds (i'm assuming you're though in clinical corporation) i'm responsive to it being a very invasive proceedure and there would properly be a number of discharge from it. in the journey that they did not inform you why, that's to work out how classic your spinal chord and so on is. Sorry I aren't to any extent further waiting to help better.

My mum had a lumbar puncture and wasn't really in any great pain but if you are, talk this through with your doctor on his rounds (I'm assuming you are still in hospital) I'm aware of it being a very invasive proceedure and there's a lot of discharge from it. If they didn't tell you why, it's to see how normal your spinal chord etc is. Sorry I can't help more.

My daughter had meningitis when she was four months old. I was told if she didn't respond to anti-biotics she'd have to have a lumbar puncture. I was led to believe that it would be worst case scenario - apparently extremely unpleasant and not carried out unless absolutely essential. Fortunately she pulled through rapidly and it wasn't necessary. Sorry you had to go through it.

My son had a lumbar puncture when he was four months old as there was blood in it, it had to be repeated. It certainly was a pleasant experience for him.
