You may be able to make small files inside your camera. Check the owner's manual and see what it says.

With the Nikon P&S that I am familiar with, you need to be in the viewing mode and looking at the picture you want to shrink. Press the "menu" button and then select "Small pic." You will get a list of three smaller sizes, 640x480, 320x240, and 160x120. Just choose the one you need and then select "Yes" or "Save" to confirm the new size. You now have a smaller size on your memory card to upload to myspace.

If not, you can get Photoshop Elements 5.0 for $99 and use that or you can use any number of free programs, such as Picasa (from Google) or even Microsoft's picture editor that probably came with your computer. It's been so long since I used it, I can't even tell you where to look, though. Maybe Microsoft Paint.

You need to figure out how to use the software that Sony gave you, or you can download Irfanview at www.irfanview.com. It is the easiest program I have found to resize pictures.

You can download Irfan, it works great. I actually downloaded mine from myspace.
