I'm in my third year of law school, will definitely have a job upon graduation, and have found the perfect condo. Is it worth my time to even TRY to get a loan? I have very good credit, but, obviously, a negative income (student loans).

Unless you can PROVE what your income will be upon graduation, it will be difficult. I recommend taking whatever documentation you have and talking to a loan officer at a bank. I do not mean the branch manager. You want an appointment with someone who can actually approve your loan, not just take your application.
