God says in Genesis 2:17 (NLT):"except the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat of its fruit you will surely die."**** they didn't die. In fact he says in Genesis 3:22 "... What if they eat the fruit of the tree of life? Then they will live for ever."
The serpent, on the other hand, says in Genesis 3:4 "You won't die" and then says in 3:5 "God knows that your eyes will be opened when you eat it. You will become just like God knowing everything both good and evil."*** in 3:6 Eve eats of the fruit and then Adam does. 3:7 reads 'At that moment their eyes were opened...' ***3:22 reads 'Then the Lord God said, "The people have become as we are, knowing everything both good and evil..." ***Everything the serpent said was confirmed true by God himself and at the same time he confirms his own lie (3:22)*** Genesis 3:9 the Lord God called to Adam "Where are you?"*** How can God keep up with 6 billion people now but lost the only 2 on the planet back then?

The serpent was telling the truth.
The reason why the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was in the garden is because without it, there would be no way that Adam and Eve could hurt Him. Sounds confusing but in my opinion true. The serpent decieved Eve, and she ate the fruit.
God was not lying to Adam, at least, not in the spiritual sense. When Adam recieved the knowledge of good and evil, his love for Eve turned to lust, for when Adam first saw Eve, he broke into poetry, "This is the bone of my bones, flesh on my flesh." That was a symbol of love.
God could find Adam. Adam hid because he was ashamed that he was naked. When God called out, "Where are you, Adam?" God knew where he was, but since God already knew that Adam knew he was naked, He decided to call Adam out instead of "embarassing" him, because Adam was ashamed.

God knew where Adam was- he wanted Adam to come out from hiding...OF COURSE God knew where Adam was- but Adam was ashamed and God knew this....

God was calling him to come out from hiding- that is why he said "where are you" --I think you are trying to look for error because you dont want to believe that the word of God is the truth. Why is it that so many people do this? When in the end- it is the WORD of the Lord that stands forever! And when he says you will "Die" that means a physical death in life- It means that their life span will be shortened as OURS is today. We work hard, and then we die. That is what God is saying after they disobeyed him- That is why the next verses say that Adam would have to work hard from the ground.

You and I are dead as well because of it. Even as we breathe we are dead. The serpent decieved them. You dont see how they died?. They knew God on a different level, before they ate of what God said not to eat. So you couldnt be more WRONG when you say the serpent spoke truth. The serpent or the enemy or satan is incappable of truth he is the greatest liar of all and if you continue to believe what you have said he has a grip on you right now as you read this. Resist the devil and he will flee from you!

But they did die, eventually they died a physical death, AND they died a spiritual death. In Romans 6, we are called "dead in sin." This is supported by John 3:16 where it says that whoever believes in Christ will have life eternal. Now, even believers die a mortal life, but they have eternal spiritual life in heaven.

As for God not being able to find Adam. I doubt God didn't know where Adam was. God often asks rhetorical questions that He knows the answers to. When Cain killed Abel, God asked Cain where his brother was. He knew full well that Able was dead, but he asked Cain nonetheless. I see it as a more gentle way of talking to humans. Instead of entering the garden going "YOU! You disobeyed Me!" he approaches man with a gentle question "Adam, where are you?" Adam and Eve were already afraid of God's response, but His question got them to come out of hiding and face Him.

The Bible has the roles of God and Satan reversed. It was done that way to convince a large part of the world to believe in a certain way that will actually lead them to Tartarus.

But we do die and do know good and evil because they became flesh, they were in the spirit form in the garden.

God came to them as spirit and they were hiding in the bushes.

Why couldn't God find Adam...?

Ever play "hide and seek" with a toddler? You smile as you watch them believe that they've hidden themselves from you.
