He is a thouroughly debunked scam artist, preying on the gullibility and emotions of people who have suffered loss, and are desparate.
He uses a combination of various stage magician techniques, including:
Cold Readings- where rapid fire guesses (is there an R in the name? does "john" mean anything to you? I feel the person may have liked animals?) and the mark makes the connections themself, no matter how vague and tenuous. We are pattern seeking animals, and like to make connections where none exist. These people are also DESPERATE to believe, and will clutch at anything. Generates far more misses than hits, but people only remember the hits.
Warm Reading...where he actually does have some knowledge of the marks ahead of time. People often complete info cards before a sitting, or are "pre-interviewed" stating who it is they are hoping to contact and why.
Audience Plants....exactly what it sounds like, there are "ringers" in the audience.
James Randi and others have investigated these frauds for years. (see also James van Praagh, and Sylvia Browne) There is no validated scientific evidence for the existence of psychic abilities, and Randi has $1,000,000 for anyone who can demonstrate them in a controlled scientific setting

The 30 min show is also edited down from hours of tape, so it can be made to appear more impressive.
These same techniques are also used by "faith healers" such as Benny Hinn, Peter Popoff etc.

i'm no longer possibly particular. Sylvia seems extra convincing than John to me. i think in ghosts and demons because of the fact of existence stories. Sightings, sounds, issues being moved in the previous my eyes, etc. over my lifetime. i'm Catholic and the Church teaches that the ineffective do no longer walk this earth after dying. yet I don't have the different explaniation to what i've got witnessed a number of time. comparable with my son. No ghosts isn't doctrine or dogma. so who is familiar with. however the Bible, God's words on my own, say to stay faraway from fortune tellers, palm readers, and psychics. that they are evil doers. That it somewhat is demons that enable them to work out issues. returned, i do no longer understand somewhat comprehend what to have faith. i think of a few human beings have particular presents. yet while God says psychics are evil, i can't communicate over with them.

John Edwards claims that he speaks with dead people, and that they respond. That is an obvious lie.
His performances are a combination of cold reading, hot reading, and editing of video. In fact he is essentially guessing at stuff, and when he gets it wrong, hiding that fact. He also has people find the information by snooping before the show.

I've never had a psychic reading done because psychic "powers" are a load of crap.
What they don't show you on John Edwards' show is the MANY, MANY times he gets it WRONG.
It is particularly pernicious of him to give false hope to desperate, confused people.
No one has ever scientifically proven the existence of psychic (ESP) ability.

There is case after case of people saying that they selectively edit his show to eliminate the 10 wrong guesses to focus on the 2 good guesses. It's all bunk. They listen in on the waiting room to the conversations.

He is a very good fake. He can not read minds but he can read faces and body language. He is a corrupt charlatan of the highest magnitude. Benny Hinn wishes he could be so good.

i havent had one personally
but
as TV psychic/mediums go , he does seem the most genuine and works in the same way as other mediums do
there will of course be the sceptics who say he has faked things ... but there isnt a medium who has been in the public eye , who the sceptics have not torn to shreds
yes i feel John is the real deal xx
