Ah yes, the truth of his holy word....
Exodus 11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
11:6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel

Before I answer I would suggest you ask yourself "Why did you ask a question that wasn't about religion and was simply critical of other people's answers?"
Speaking from my personal experience "spiritual intervention" is really just another way to describe people who are filled with pride and false humility and who are trying to bully and condemn others so that they can feel better about their own miserable lives which are filled with self-hatred and dysfunctional relationships. To some degree I think that is what you are trying to do as well, so I think you have answered your own question. Most people do not live a life that expresses the compassion towards each other that they preach. I think if you really want to see that kind of behaviour on Yahoo Answers you should start to live it yourself and be an example, not just on the Internet but out in the real world too. Then if you still want to come back and tell us about how much "holier thou art than the rest of us miserable sinners" you will at least have some credibility to be taken seriously. Now "Get off the cross Mary, we need the wood..."

You seem pretty anoyed, random people that are spiritual or religious go to social to help the people there sometimes, and often there is religious and spiritual people in the religion & spirituality section, but random people just answer the question for the sake of it, not because they want to answer, they just want a load of yahoo points, and if they are not believers they put the believers down, it wouldn't be this way if there wasn't all the new answers on the front page of Yahoo Answers..where everyone just answers anything.. I mean some people answer questions as.. "I don't know" or.. "Maybe you should ask someone else".. People are stupid..but Religious people ask more in this section..and probably answer more in the social.

I think there needs to be more spiritual intervention in the individual these days and less emphasis on organized religion that follows a man teaching his belief to you as truth rather than letting you explore the bible for yourself and come to your own conclusions with the help of God.

The only aspect of religion that I respect is the fact that for some people hymn singing etc. is spiritually uplifting-being happy is a good thing. Liturgies, dogma, creeds, symbolism, icons are not religion and ultimately mean nothing. Religion should be about experience not belief in misguided doctrines.

Got it in one... you are correct... people ask questions more to justify their own perspective than to become more knowledgeable and expand their thinking in other areas.
And yes.... ritual can be comforting and necessary, but there needs to be more guidance on how to expand our own personal relationships with god, and less on the hoops and observances that 'show' others how 'good' we are at practicing our respective faiths.

May be we r in the age of weak religion all over the world.
I think religion should b all over as it's the road which delivers us to Heavens.
If ther's no specific category for religion here, we can make it all over the categories.Tnx

YES - you are correct - the atheist all come here to create havoc - they believe having no religion is a religion - every so often there are those who ask good questions - but they are few and far between.
Thank you for your statement!

I think church should be more about praise and worship and not putting people down because of bad things they have done.
