Certainly.......just because i dont like it is no reason not to make it for the rest of the family. I love my family and enjoy cooking foods that they enjoy

My husband loves Brussel sprouts, canned spinach, and asparagus -- three items that could vanish off the face of this earth, and I'd never miss either one. I'll fix them for him, but only when I can have the kitchen window open and the breeze blowing in the right direction.

The exception is liver in any shape, form, or fashion. He loves it, and personally, I think that it's the main course on the dinner menu in Hades. Even the smell makes me nauseated, so if he wants liver and onions, he goes out to a restaurant for it.

And I go somewhere else to eat that night!

Yes..otherwise my family would never have benefit of veggies! :) Seriously, I can not stomach ground beef, dont even like to touch or cook it, but will certainly make dishes with it and I just have have an alternative. Or, sometimes its a simple as half the casserole has mushrooms and the other doesn't, or adding extra after to a dish, whatever works.

My family like seafood, I however cannot stand it. Same thing with deer meat. I cook it though because my family enjoys it and I am not going to deprive them of something they love. I usually will just cook me a piece of chicken or just heat up some leftovers for myself.

Yes. I try to fix them their favorites when I can, even if I don't care for the dish myself. It works in the reverse also. There are meals I fix for myself that they don't really care for as much, but they compromise.

Nope (but I'm not a housewife). I cook for my family only what I will eat. However, I also don't purposely cook things that they don't like or won't eat.

We call it division of labor. My husband loves steak, I don't. I'll make my own dish and he cooks his steak -his- way. I make all the side dishes most of the time. He doesn't like any shape of pasta besides spaghetti or linguini (??), so I make that for myself. I don't mind making stuff for him that I wouldn't eat, and he loves my cooking, so it all works out!

One of the joys of being a grown up is that I no longer have to eat my vegetables. But I do cook them for my husband and guests.
