Does this really mean love, or does it mean something else?

hmm its a pendant so its a little off. its suppose to have 3 slash thing at the top but it only has one for the necklace. it's suppose to mean 'love' in BOTH japanese and chinese. pernouced 'ai'

It looks like the Chinese character for Love to me. It's a little hard to read it though by the way they made that pendant.

I'd say it's Chinese, simplified Chinese to be exact. It does mean love.
