How can I put a 6"x9" speaker in a 4"x6" slot?

Sounds stupid but the speakers I want to put in are really nice, but kinda old, so if I traded them in for 4"x6" speakers I'd get screwed over. So I was wondering if there was a simple way to put the larger speakers into the slot. Thanks for any help.

Yes. Build a low profile mount for the new speakers and center them over the existing holes. This will prevent you from having to make the existing hole any larger and allow you to re install the old speakers if/when you decide to sell the car.

make the hole bigger...otherwise you'd be trying to put a square peg in a round hole!
