I noticed on Experain, you can put your own personal statment..

Whats a positive statement to submit .. and what if any weight does it give to prospective creditors?

If there's something inaccurate on your report that you can't get changed, or if you want to explain something (you couldn't pay your bills because of serious illness, ect) you can add a statement. It doesn't change your score, though. Plus, most lenders don't look at them anyway.

You only add a statement if there is inacccurate information that you have dispted and they have refused to delete.


I would stay away from it if I were you.

It usually causes more harm then good.

100 words or less. and yes it can help. but don't really expect it to change your credit score and that is what's important.....
660 or higher........
