I've been looking for a leadership figure to teach me about spirituality. I found this website about this guy Ted Haggard. He seems like a great guy...according to something that I read, he even bought amphetamines and threw them away - apparently to make sure that they didn't end up in the hands of others. Wow, what a selfless person!

Well, there has been proof that the rumors are false about his homosexual "thing" with the other guy. I don't know though, if it's true or not. I hope it's not. But yes, he probably was a great man. If it is true he probably did everything that he could to be saved since he knows that Heaven has no invitations for homosexuals. He was probably trying to make God happy so He could give Haggard a second chance. It ain't gonna happen if he doesn't change and ask for REAL forgiveness

nicely, nicely ... it is totally exciting that the hypocritical Reverend Haggard is now admitting that he used crystal meth and had a rubdown with a male prostitute. the certainty is ultimately popping out ... a sprint at a time. lots for being the huge preacher guy scaring the devil away. If Haggard grew to become into sensible, he might merely admit to each little thing previously all of it gets spilled everywhere, with the emails and despite else the prostitute has. It in no way fails to amaze me how those fundies can pontificate approximately sin in extremely every person else's existence, yet yet it is effective for them do despite they desire -- merely as long as they shop it quiet and say a sprint prayer afterwards. And merely as exciting how the fundies went on consistently approximately invoice Clinton and Monica Lewinsky, and now one among their very own, one among their maximum well-known evangelical preachers, is accountable of what they might planned to be an abomination (do no longer you adore that observe!)

Read the Bible. Among other thing, it's about long list of men who have messed up bad. The "heros", Aberham, Moses, David, Job, Samson, and on and on, realize they have done wrong by God, repent, and go on and do great things. The real message of the Bible is, "we mess up - God still loves us" - a lot!.

I watched an interview with him a couple months ago, and it struck me how fake and plastic he appeared to be, how rehearsed and completely blank. I despise people like that, and now it seems my dislike had reason. What a hypocrite.

I find it interesting that his official site says nothing about the recent events.
However, if you click into the church site, there is a letter from them.

Is it easier to mock and insult than it is to forgive?

I don't know if he's a "great guy" one way or the other.
