PHds ARE real people!!! Anyway, God's choices in event of Armageddon are going to be based on faith... I think. So I guess under those rules if someone with a doctorate has great Christian fatith, then that'll be what God looks for.
Many PHds, probably a statistically significant proportion do not believe in God. Therefore should it happen like in Revelations, then once they face judgement they'll probably argue among themselves and with God about his very existence, God will get vengeful... again... it won't be pretty.
I think the problem is with your view of those PHd endowed. Can only imagine you having a terrible time with a research associate and a very boring task.
