Solar storms which produce trillions of charged particles,
which interact with the earths magnetosphere to create
what we commonly know as Northern Lights.

In 11 year cycles, the sun produces more storms which sometimes
allow people in the middle latitudes (Tennessee Georgia ect)
see the lights...
