I would have to say no. My reason being that while I think all religious zealots are humorless sycophants and I think that it is those folks who comprise the vocal minority (so in that sense both are synonymous), I take issue with is the term "thin-skinned" in that while they tend to lack the ability to laugh at themselves and are overly defensive about their beliefs, in the end they do not care what others think of them and that negates the idea of thin skinned (if you accept my definition which would be someone who gets offended easily and has their feelings hurt). It is a subtle distinction but I think that while they are easily offended, it is not because they are upset about what you say but that you offend their puritanical sensibility and by extension god himself and are therefore less than them and need to be saved (or burn in hell depending).

But what to I know, I am just a godless heathen who will surely be left bellow.

I'm sure you have a few on both sides. Depends a lot of what you call humor. If you look for only the bad responses you will find them. If you look for the good responses you will find them. So it really depends on what you are focused on.

Yes they are. They hide behind Jesus Christ to cover thier bitter twisted souls. They believe that if they quote the bible we'll think they put the crackpipe down and they're great people, but we see something they never will, thier actions, they've traded thier self-awareness, and therefore thier self-responsibility for fanaticism. THEY JUST DON'T GET IT!!!

Yes they are, they can't joke about their own religion because deep down they know it's a bull and are always afraid that what they believe is in danger of being exposed for the farce that it is.
