For that radio you will need a dual band antenna, (144/440) and you should be spending much less than 90 bucks.

Build your own cant u calculate a quarter wavelength. There are antenna hand books at the library,go get busy it isn't that hard.

Look into a Yagi" antenna, I made my own for about $10.00
