We are planning a 10-day trip to Kingston/Barabados for the last 10 days of April 2007. Seeking information for inexpensive accomodation for four adults. Bed-and-breakfast, guesthouse, etc. type of arrangement preferred. Since the trip is during World Cup Cricket, prefer staying with a family interested in cricket living in a decent, quiet neighborhood with a TV.

Will contacting concerned consulates/embassies be helpful? Or, should I post an ad in newspapers in Kingston/Barbados? If so, which newspapers? Any other way to get such accomodation? What do you consider inexpensive/reasonable for the month of April?

I know that in Kingston ,St.Andrew Jamaica, locals alike big hotels are getting in on the cricket, for 2007 cricket world cup,and that when these locals(persons who have a private home that will be made visitor friendly,be open for business),these new area will not be as expensive, but overall most of the prices of accommodation will go up because of the event, even those places that are not normally expensive will try to cash in.

These areas are located all over the country, especially were games are to be played,on the north coast or in Kingston, they are called bed and break fast settings.good luck.
