If you seriously suspect cutting, then there may be mental illness involved. You should share your information or suspicions with your mom and dad. If there is mental illness involved, then proper medication and intervention should help.

Certainly, many teenagers go through a period of rebellion. This may manifest itself in hair style, clothing or actions. But cutting is not a sign of healthy rebellion.

You can't change her, the only person you can change is yourself. Talk to her, let her know how concerned you are about her, ask her what is going on? Say, I am here for you, and why are you so mad at Mom all of the time, tell her that you love her. And that you miss the, sisterly relationship that the two of you had. Now if she is cutting, tell Mom, she needs help! I hope this all works out for you!

There is no easy fix hon.But u can start by really talking to your sister in a calm relax setting. When both of u are getting along that day u should tell her how much u love her and if u can help her cuz she seems to be mad alot. Tell her how scared u are for her. Then tell her how much u want your old sister back. I wish u all the luck. Oh and dressing gothic is not all that bad.My son did that and now he is in college.

Your sister is going to act how she wants to act, and i dont think anybody can change her; at least not right now. If she is turning goth, that is "normal" to her. Everybody has their own definition of "normal". Everybody also goes through stages on how they act/reblion stage/cutting stage etc. If you think shes cutting, dont tell your parents YET, unless you for sure know shes doing it or not. If she is, you need to tell someone because that is very dangerous and could turn into numerous problems. First, sit down, and talk to your sister, have a deep conversation about why shes doing this, tell her how you feel and tell her your concerns, hopefully she'll understand.

Well i really dont think anyone can change her. The thing is have you ever talked to lk gothic people or nerds they are real people. So even if she is you could maybe talk to her about the weird things like cutting herself and things like that and the more yall talk and you relate to her the more yall can become better sisters. So if i was you i would walk into her room oneday but knock first then sit down and ask her how her day was and then move on to the why's and stuff. Then if she acts like she doesnt want to talk to you or shes just lk uhm idk ok wow idc and stuff just keep trying. It always works for me at least.<33

Talk to her n show her u really care! She may respond rudely or act like she doesnt care, but if u continue showing her unconditional love she might start getting close to u n start talkin to u bout what's goin on with her. It sounds like she's confused n is tryin to find herself. Be there for her, n show her guidance n love. That's what she really needs right now.
