It could be due to the coverage in your area, ariel connections, transmitter work in your area or a weak signal in which case you will need a signal booster check the following site for more info http://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/reception.html

To get an excellent reception on Freeview you would be best to get a roof aerial. as quickly as we lost our analogue reception years in the past because of the fact of a wind farm that were equipped some miles from our residing house Scottish ability (who equipped the wind farm) gave us a freeview field and new aerial. The installers instructed us that with our latest roof aerial our reception could have been very unfavorable and suggested they advise all of us getting Freeview to invest in an more desirable high quality aerial. as quickly as the entire usa has been converted to digital and the hot digital sign is boosted the reception would be extra suitable yet on the 2d its no longer so stable in some aspects. Your difficulty with basically having an indoor aerial potential you're in no way going to have a stable reception. some blocks of residences have a communal equipment which citizens can get appropriate as much as - you will desire to ask if this is an selection on your section. the only different way is to get a Freesat which fits from a satellite tv for pc dish which would be placed on the exterior of the construction.

The quality of your analogue picture does not necessarily relate to the signal strength that you are getting from Freeview (our analogue picture is pants but freeview ok). Also freeview is soooo prone to electrical interference from fridges, fluorescent light, passing cars etc (our shower breaks the freeview picture every time). Best to shield these devices or use an extension with electrical interference suppression and good shielded aerial cable.

I have the same problem with my set top box....the Freeview site tells me my post code can't receive Freeview, but I can, just. I think my problems are due to being on the edge of the signal range, and I might try an aerial upgrade to see if it improves. It's probably not your TV; if you can afford it, get a professional to check your aerial, and up grade it if necessary.
