How to get best picture with Sony Bravia V series 32" TV with DVDR & SKY digibox. What connections?!?

How do we connect up our new Sony BRAvia TV (V series) with a DVDR & Sky Digibox to get a good picture through Sky? We had a Panasonic VIERA and the SKY pic was very good. How can we get the same quality through Sky with the Bravia? Is there a particular port or setting?
