girls smile because they will feel special like bieng notice and adored. they felt like a grain of sand bieng used or noticed. we look up into the universe thinking we're nothing more compared to dirt but when we are complimented we feel like the brightest star and that all the hard work and effort is NOT a waste.
a little compliment goes a long way, and alot goes forever. compliments might be a small word but its a big change for people, so compliment is really important.

B/c we are happy and like i'm not gonna say "oh i know, i do have such wonderful hair" now am i?
Basicly usally i cant help smiling its like i go auto-pilot.
and wouldn't it be a little awkward if someone said something nice to you and you kept a straight face?

Because it's flattering. Sometimes it's a sign that she likes what you're saying and that she may be feeling you. Other times it's because she may not get that often, especially if she's in a bad relationship.
