There are obvious answers to God's will in the Bible, but what about times where the Bible is not clear...for example, some people wonder what God's will is concerning a relationship, or whether they should move cross country for a job. How do you know this when you might not get a clear answer from God? How can you do the thing that is the right thing with limited direction? Sometimes even wisdom doesn't help in these situations, because they can still turn out wrong. What gives?

Ok Mike A...that was a decent answer, but not necessarily to my question. And I can do without the "I hate anything about God" answers from people, too.

Not that I don't respect your answers, but to say that NO ONE knows the will of God is untrue, as it's written all over the Bible (for starters, Col. 1:9) that He wants us to know his will, and the Bible is the blueprint for His will. I'm talking things not explicitly in the Bible, thanks.

This is a hard question to answer. And one thing that makes it hard is that sometimes it is God's will that we seek his will and make choices without knowing for sure what his will for our lives is. In other words, sometimes there is no right or wrong answer. This is because God allows us to be free, and allows us sometimes to stumble around, seeking him in all things but not knowing precisely where he would have us be.
This is what I do, when I am in a position like you describe. I pray daily that God take my will and my life, show me where I should be, what I should do, what I should say. And I trust that he is guiding me thus, even if I don't feel led. That is, if you are in God's grace, he has got your life, even when you feel confused or unsure.
I also talk to a lot of people who also regularly seek God's will for their lives. Different people...who can all offer their input. People who are seeking God's will, will not tell you what you should do, but they will tell you their experiences and they will offer you certain insights. All of this helps toward the making of a decision, if you are open, listening, and discerning.
I recently made a very big choice, and I am still unsure whether it was the right one or not. In time, it will all become clear. At present, it is not. I accept the fact that it is not currently clear. I have faith that God is allowing me to make a choice. He gave me no certainty of direction with this one...but I know that he is with me as I travel. I seek the input of others who love God; I pray daily; I read the Gospels to see if something speaks to my particular situation (because something I missed yesterday might dawn on me today); and I trust and love God all the while. I thank him for the opportunity to seek him while feeling cloudy.
What someone else said in response to your question is also true. If you make a choice, God will still be there, making good use of your life, even if you made a mistake.
The secret is that the search for God's will is part of God's will. It is his will that you seek him. In seeking him, you come to know him better--as a direct, unavoidable result. You also come to know yourself better.
And the person who suggested that you take a leap is also correct. Sometimes, when you take the leap and make the choice, it becomes utterly clear whether it is the right one or wrong one. Sometimes it's in the deciding that we get lost, but once we decide and leap, our heart starts beating so fast that there is no denying what is true and what is false.
Best to you in your search.

Absolutely!!! It was once whatever extra formal, but I used to speak to Him something the motive and due to the fact I saved ahead to my possess ambition and wishes, while He gave me avertisements I stored none and did my method going into increasingly trubles! Into an finish, inside a deep depresion, He stored my lifestyles (!!!) the very moment I left away of all my deep wishes... There, empty middle, I was once stuffed with God's Light and Peace and Love - a entire New LIFE, a brand new frame, a New Vision over the beyond and the longer term :) :) :) Yes, He is my Saviour!!!

That's a very good question My best advice would be, until you have absolute peace from God about such an important decision, don't do anything! Trust Him to confirm to you, either through reading His word, or through the preaching of His word, or through other Christians what He has already confirmed in your heart.
God Bless.

I don't think God is so much as concerned with where you will live, who you will love, where you will work... as much as He is concerned with what kind of person are you. The Bible says that he who loves his life will lose it and he who loses his life for God's sake will gain it. I don't think this is talking solely about martyrdom. If we focus on God and bringing Him glory and forsake all else, then God will provide for us. For Jesus says in Matthew 6:25, "do not be (worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?" For if God will feed the birds who do not sow or reap, then how much more will He provide for you, who are worth much more than birds? Verse 33 continues, "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
Let God worry about your relationships, job, living situations, so that you can focus on being the kind of person God wants you to be and bring Him glory by worshiping Him.

A good choice gives to your constience a peace.
In other order:
1)The will of God is written in The Old and New Testament,if we read them , each fact show to us ,so is good, so isn't good.
2)The rulles of God-Father and Jesus Christ-Sun of God.
3)The teaches of the church;

This is a good question --
I have been guided by God many times through prayer and the spirit. When you have a personal relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, he truly "walks with me and talks with me and tells me I'm his own...."
